Overview
A Reporting & Accounting Manager oversees financial reporting, manages an accounting team, and ensures the accuracy of financial statements and records. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role also involves financial analysis, budgeting, and assisting senior management with strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: • Supervise all accounting operations (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) and ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations. • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and the preparation of financial statements and management reports. • Deliver accurate and timely reporting packages to the Finance team. • Conduct variance analysis versus budget and forecast and provide insight into business performance. • Manage requirements for external auditors and ensure legal compliance with tax advisors. • Strengthen internal control systems and ensure adherence to financial governance standards. • Drive process and systems improvement in collaboration with IT and Business Control teams. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities. • Understand and integrate diverse business and functional perspectives to ensure alignment in decision making and actions to ensure the Company consistently delivers on its ambitions. • Create and sustain high quality stakeholder relationships, to manage expectations and influence decision making. • Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team to foster collaboration, accuracy, and accountability. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Accounting or equivalent. • At least 7 to 8 of years of relevant experience out of which 2 to 3 years management experience. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP. • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Good command in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
