Responsibilities
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs and supporting documentation for civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and reports to understand scope and constraints.
• Identifying missing information and documenting engineering assumptions.
• Preparing detailed quantity take-offs for:
• Bulk and detailed excavation
• Shoring systems (piles, anchors, shotcrete, capping beams)
• Foundation piling
• Pavements and kerbs
• Stormwater drainage infrastructure
• Demolition works
• Measuring quantities using Bluebeam Revu markups and Excel templates.
• Modelling excavation volumes using Kubla software.
• Preparing supporting documentation including quantity summaries and markup drawings.
• Reviewing geotechnical reports and project documentation to identify construction risks and constraints.
• Coordinating with the estimation team and management during internal review processes.
• Maintaining organized project documentation and quantity files.
Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Surveying
• Approximately 5 years of experience in civil infrastructure or construction projects
• Experience with: Roads and pavement works, Stormwater infrastructure, Bulk and detailed excavation Shoring and Ground works
• Strong ability to interpret civil and structural drawings
• Experience preparing quantity take-offs
• Proficiency in Excel
• Experience with Kubla or similar excavation software is an advantage
• Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory
